Production and sale of gingerbread

Who is hiding behind Medovníkovo? This sweet-scented craft is deep-rooted within the family. My parents have been practicing the art of gingerbread making practically since the beginning of the ‘90s. They apply all their skill in the baking and decorating and do their utmost for the gingerbread not only to taste delightful, but also to look beautiful. The craftsmanship of my father Ivan Klučiar was recognized in 2020 with the title of Master of Folk Art Production
My wife’s great-grandfather plied his trade as a gingerbread maker in the 1930s. In those days the dough was pressed into wooden forms, on the photo you can see our preserved gingrebread forms from this era. And this is how two families continuing the gingrebread craft as Medovníkovo met, which bridges generations and demonstrates that traditional crafts still have their place in Slovakia.
